Retrofit Playbook Event Series: The Transformative Impact of Charrettes

How can project teams transform their thinking about building decarbonization and generate cogent plans that incorporate long-term flexibility to future-proof their assets? Given the urgent need to reduce building emissions, taking advantage of collaborative problem-solving approaches, like design charrettes that integrate diverse perspectives, enables project teams to cut emissions now without compromising on their future goals.

Join Building Energy Exchange, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), RMI, and Urban Land Institute (ULI) to learn about how leading commercial and multifamily real estate participants in NYSERDA’s Empire Building Challenge are utilizing these planning tools, including design charrettes and the Resource Efficient Decarbonization framework, to produce successful, flexible retrofit projects for their buildings.

Following a one-hour hybrid segment of opening remarks and presentations, in-person participants will be able to meet featured EBC partners and ask questions about their decarbonization projects in facilitated discussions with industry leaders.
